Interpipe facilities passed API recertification audit
Interpipe Niko Tube, Interpipe NTRP and Interpipe NMPP successfully passed the audit and extended their certificates as well as the right to use API monogram until 2022.
Recertification audits at these facilities for its compliance with API Spec 5CT and API Spec 5L standards were conducted by American Petroleum Institute (API) representatives, who also assessed the conformity of the corporate Quality Management System (QMS) with the requirements of API Spec Q1.
During their visits API experts checked a number of key processes, including the manufacture of products, the Quality Management System, carrying out of technical preventive maintenance for the local equipment, staff training level, and the production planning.
As a result, the auditors from the American Petroleum Institute confirmed the high level of Interpipe facilities and extended the validity of their API certificates until 2022.

American Petroleum Institute is the only national non-governmental organization in the United States that investigates all aspects of operations in the oil and gas sector and has been developing international standards for these industries for approximately 100 years.
In total, API certifies companies according to 40 standards and specifications. The key ones for pipe manufacturers are as follows:
• API Spec Q1 – QMS certification for any manufacturer of products for the oil and gas industry;
• API Spec 5CT – certification of casing and tubing manufacturers;
• API Spec 5L – certification of manufacturers of plain pipes for oil and gas pipelines.
