2,600 tons of steel pipe manufactured by Interpipe will hold up the foundations across the Mediterranean Core Corridor, connecting seaports in southern Spain to eastern Europe.

The order involves several different dimensions in the range from 114.3 up to 244.5 mm in diameter with wall thickness from 8 up to 25 mm. It requires S355J2H steel grade, which is ideal for bridges and building structures thanks to its high-strength and temperature toughness. The company has already shipped a quarter's worth of the volume.

Massimo Marrama, Senior Pipe Sales Manager for the European Market at Interpipe:

- The customer made a very specific request of multiple pipe lengths for the order. Cut to particular measurements, our product will help to optimize the process of piles and micropiles manufacture. Construction sector is definitely an interesting segment in the Italian market and our reliability in long-term projects will open new opportunities for our products, considering that several interesting projects in infrastructures are yet to come.
