Interpipe joins a green energy project in the English Channel
Share the news:
Interpipe, a global producer of steel pipes and railway products based in Ukraine, supplies steel pipes for alternative energy projects worldwide, supporting the industry’s path toward decarbonization.

A new offshore wind farm project in Normandy is another milestone in this way.

Almost 250 tons of pipes were shipped to Spanish customer for the construction of the wind farm in the English Channel, near the communes of Le Treport and Dieppe. Our products serve as the foundation for boat mooring platforms at each of the 62 wind turbines. The order included a wide range of pipe sizes, from 101.6 mm to 419.1 mm in diameter.

The construction of the wind farm began in January 2024 and is scheduled for completion at the end of 2026. Once operational, it will supply renewable electricity to more than 850,000 people.

Jorge Ruiz, Pipe Sales Manager at Interpipe:

- We already have several completed supplies for geothermal power plants and wind farms in our project portfolio. Harsh operating environments — such as seawater in this case — always require products with enhanced performance characteristics. Our seamless pipes of E355+N/S355NH steel grade, manufactured to EN 10297/EN 10210 standards, meet all additional customer requirements for mechanical properties and chemical composition.
