This certification enables KLW to supply railway products to railways, railcar repair, and locomotive repair companies in Canada, Mexico, and the United States that are members of the AAR.
Although a new version of the AAR standard issued at the end of 2018 tightened the requirements for Class D wheels, KLW fully complies with it and successfully undergoes certification assessment annually to meet customer expectations.
Since 2022 KLW has managed to arrange the inspections remotely. The review of production stages — from material procurement and incoming raw-material inspection to technical and metrological control and manufacturing processes — is carried out online, while physical testing of products is performed at one of the company’s customer facilities. Production batches intended for delivery, as well as the manufacturing process itself, are inspected remotely via mobile devices.

- The quality requirements for wheels and axles defined by AAR standards are designed for railway systems operating under heavy loads. As a result, our technical capability to manufacture products in compliance with AAR standards enables us to supply wheels, for example, to heavy-haul mainline railways in Saudi Arabia and to rail networks serving the mining industry in Mauritania.
