Occupational Health & Safety

The health and safety of our employees and creating comfortable working conditions are always at the top of Interpipe's priorities. We recognise our responsibility for the health and safety of our employees and actively apply the best occupational health and safety practices.

Interpipe continuously invests in industrial safety at its production assets. In 2023, we invested UAH 89.7 million. Among other things, we carried out the following:

  • updating the existing ceiling lighting using energy-saving light sources at the production sites;
  • replacing the heating system;
  • installing metal-plastic windows;
  • installing an automatic fire alarm system;
  • restoring fences around industrial equipment and installing automatic alarms and locking devices;
  • building extra staircases and bridges;
  • repairing and updating equipment and working tools;
  • training staff according to the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) principles;
  • replacing and updating electric bridge cranes, crane beams and anti-vibration chairs;
  • purchasing and installing industrial air conditioners and split systems in workshops.

ISO 45001 Certificates

Interpipe fosters a culture of compliance with industrial safety rules and risk identification at production sites among its employees. Every year, on the occasion of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we hold competitions among our employees for the best risk elimination proposals and the best site / team for industrial safety.

The company keeps strict records of all workplace accidents. In 2023, the annual lost time injury frequency rate (LTIFR) was 0.57, in 2022, 0.91 and in 2021, 0.74.

Occupational Health & Safety Policy

Interpipe pays particular attention to compliance with health and safety regulations.

Each Interpipe production site has a separate health and safety policy that is consistent with the Company's overall policy. The policies guarantee a safe work environment and facilitate the functioning of a system of legal, socio-economic, organisational, technical, sanitary, hygienic and preventive measures.

COVID-19: Protecting Employees

Interpipe cares about the health of its employees. During the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine, the Company introduced anti-epidemic measures at all its enterprises. In total, the Company spent UAH 127.4 million on anti-epidemic measures during the pandemic, including the following:

PPE and antiseptics for the Company's employees

PCR testing of the Company's employees (12,100 tests)

sanitisation of buses, cleaning and disinfection of household premises and offices

Interpipe supports the global COVID-19 vaccination campaign. The company organised a collective vaccination effort for its employees.

Vaccination took place from June to December 2021.
